Floyd mayweather v Conor McGregor
I've looked back a few pages and could not find another thread....

Ok I must admit I have been completely suckered in by this fight,

Now anyone with half a brain cell realises that Floyd is going to win, but the real question is, will Floyd actually knock him out!?
Now Floyd has not KO’d anyone since Victor Ortiz back in 09, but that was hardly a legitimate KO, so really you’re looking back to the Hatton fight.
Before Floyd moved up to 147, t super feather and junior lightweight he was lethal.
But a combination of hand problems and moving up in weight meant that he relied on his boxing skills to cruise through fights and win on points.
Now Floyd has partitioned the Vegas board of control to fight in 8oz gloves which look like is going to be accepted, so looks like he’s going for the KO
Now there’s a big chance it’s all hype and he cruises to just another points win, but I think he has a bee in his bonnet about McGregor and really wants to spark him out, but like I say I could be getting suckered in by all he hype.
Also the Pauline malliganni spa’ing side issue is pretty fascinating as an aside.
Good undercard as well, with Badoo jack taking on Nathan cleverly and the awesome gevonta tank Davis fighting as well.

Not long now ... 26/8

i did cover that in my waffle , dont blame you if you cant be bothered to read it.

Re: Floyd mayweather v Conor McGregor

The fight is going to consist of McGregor swinging haymakers for three rounds praying one connects while Floyd will simply avoid being within range of him. McGregor will then be bolloxed after his efforts and Floyd will then engage and take him apart.

A fucking joke of a 'fight'. Now if it was the light 8oz gloves it could have been somewhat interesting.

If that video I saw was real of McGregor sparring then he really has a problem. He looked slow as fuck just throwing lumbering punches. Well I say punches some of them were more like slaps

I know nothing about boxing or whatever tickling this Irish chap goes in for. But given the performance they're making of building this nonsense up (have some of those events been purely for them to call each other bitches?), surely it'll go on for some time to justify the spectacle won't it? They can't have one of them win in the first round.

They've been travelling the world in the same private jet to all the promotional events, they are probably mates at this stage.

Its a farce. going to do hundreds of millions from idiots paying top whack to watch it though !

i can see it going one of two ways ...

if its the same old floyd that weve seen recently , it will be like the marcos maidana fight , but if he goes out and come foward like he says he will , itll be like the Autro gatti fight

The art of diplomacy is winning the point but allowing the other party an honourable retreat

So, both will win, the tinker will swing a few into the guard, three rounds in FMJ will offer a few jabs and the odd shuffle by round 5 the tinker will deliver a roundhouse to the shoulder and be disqualified

After both will claim victory and who is the man with the bigger wood

It will then be tried agin to decide

But I am a cynical old bugger

I recon may weather will win this. There again I know nothing about boxing or cage fighting. I'm just getting caught up in the hype.

All the way through I've been 100% that FMJ will win. The best of a generation couldn't lay a glove on him - aside from maybe Castillo. So how is someone with zero pro boxing experience going to?
Watching the 'access all areas' show I'm 75% FMJ now. Just the fact that Connor will throw punches from different angles that masked me stop & think.

Re: Floyd mayweather v Conor McGregor
Mcgregor is the best slaesman out there , if i didnt know better i would be convinced he would win.

Maidana threw punches from crazy angles in their fight , and did cause floyd problems fr a round or two.

but he has no chance as i see it

Paddy power have already paid out on a mayweather win "because we checked and only one of them is a boxer"

Mayweather is ancient, but cage fighters cant box for shit. Should be easy even for an old bloke.
